Et le parc comme tout le reste, était désert …(And the gardens as anything else were deserted…)
In 2011, I got nominated to Swiss Art Award, in Basel, Switzerland. I made an installation especially for the show entitled: Et le parc comme tout le reste était désert…The installation consists of; three paintings hung on walls painted in a grey-black colour and two sculptures, a text in french (a new interpretation of what could be a ”mental monologue taken from the movie Last Year in Marienbad), and a fourth painting shown against white walls. The title is also taken from the same movie Last Year in Marienbad. The text is in original language; french. It has been remade to fit (and refer to) the other works in the installation.
